5 Star Rockfield Estate
Welcome to The House at Rockfield, a beautifully restored 18th-century Georgian country house nestled in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East. Lovingly restored by the Murtagh family, the house combines the elegance and character of its Georgian heritage with the comforts and conveniences of modern living.
Set within 68 acres of private estate, Rockfield offers something increasingly rare — the opportunity to gather together, slow down and enjoy an entire country house as your own.
With 10 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and accommodation for up to 30 guests, there is space to celebrate, relax and reconnect. Guests have exclusive use of the restored Georgian house and its extensive grounds, making it an exceptional setting for family reunions, milestone birthdays, private celebrations, hen parties, group retreats and unforgettable gatherings with friends.
A House Full of Character
From the moment you arrive, Rockfield reveals layers of history and charm. A striking stone cantilever staircase leads through the house, while grand reception rooms provide elegant spaces for gathering together.
The book-lined library, complete with secret doors, offers a wonderful retreat for quiet moments, conversation and evening drinks. Log fires bring warmth and atmosphere to the house, while the well-equipped kitchen provides the perfect heart of the home.
Outside, the 68-acre estate invites guests to explore, unwind and enjoy the Irish countryside. The walled garden adds another beautiful dimension to the grounds and provides a peaceful setting for leisurely afternoons.
Your Own Private Country Estate
Rockfield is designed for shared experiences. Long lunches, fireside evenings, celebrations around the dining table, children exploring the grounds and friends gathering late into the night — this is a house made for creating memories.
With its combination of historic Georgian architecture, generous accommodation, private grounds and complete exclusivity, The House at Rockfield offers an authentic Irish country house experience where guests can truly make themselves at home.
Gather your favourite people, close the gates behind you and make Rockfield your own for an unforgettable Irish escape.
